The best time to book a Bow hunt is from mid May to the end of October. Try not to book a hunt during the full moon period. We offer bow hunts for all species of plains game available in South Africa, from Clive’s home property in the Northern Province to hunts in the Northern Cape and Zululand. Bow hunts for Cape Buffalo, lion and leopard are also available. Try your hand at darting a rhino with a bow. Dart fits on the end of the arrow shaft and we stalk within 35 yards and shoot a dart into the rhino. Seven minutes later he lies down and goes to sleep. Hero pictures are taken and a fiberglass mold is taken of the horn. The taxidermist makes a fiberglass shoulder mount replica of your trophy.
Your safari starts when Clive picks you up in person at the Johannesburg International Airport. In comfortable transportation, you will be driven to the concession where the hunt takes place. We wine you and dine you under the African skies. All laundry is taken care of daily. (unscented soap is used) Your first hunting morning will be spent getting to know the animals and checking equipment. Clive will teach you all the tips about what to look for in a good trophy, then you are good to go. All Bow hunters are equipped with two way radios, a lunch pack and sodas. Blinds are chosen according to species preference and wind direction. All tracking and skinning of the trophies is taken care of once you whack the trophy you are looking for. Don’t forget your video and camera for those lifetime photos of the trophies you will take. Clive will take professional quality photos of you and your quarry with your equipment. If the quarry is not of trophy size you can shoot them with your camera. You will be taken care of from the time you arrive to the time you depart.
